As we head into our 48th year, our club boasts the participation of over 450 player and volunteers, forming teams from the Under 5s to Sydney Shield. We are a progressive club, and pride ourselves on our members upholding the ideals of good sportsmanship, encouragement, and fair play through rugby league. Our committee is determined to ensure our members enjoy the benefits of a strong organisation, with a focus on player development and continued opportunities for our players and supporters.
Over the last 47 years, we have come a long way, from a tent to a fully equipped canteen, from training "all over the place" to our very own Hammondville Oval. From sitting on the grass to our own grandstand. From Esky's to our very own Ram Shack Bar. From 1 team to 33 teams.
We are the largest club in the Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Rugby League district, with our senior teams playing in the Sydney Combined Clubs Competition. Moorebank Rams was awarded the prestigious Club of the Year award in 2020 and again in 2023.
As a result of hard work by our committee, in 2017, we entered a team into the NSWRL Sydney Shield competition. In both 2018 and 2019, this team made the finals series. In 2018, spearheaded by our Secretary Robyn Graham, we fielded our very first Girls League Tag team. The Blues Monarch League Tag competition has gone from strength to strength, and Our Open Women’s League Tag team were undefeated Premiers in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, our U16 Girls League Tag team also won the Premiership.
Our club is based at Hammondville Oval, Hammondville, next to the Moorebank Sports Club. The Oval provides the best facilities for our players, with an international field for all grades to play on and a training field on the back oval. Hammondville Oval is a far superior playing ground to any other ground within the Canterbury competition. We have a large clubhouse called the Ramshack with a licensed bar, where all are welcome. A canteen, a large BBQ area, a covered grandstand, and ample parking for our players, families, and supporters.
The Moorebank Rams Junior Rugby League Club is a place where friendships and memories are made that last forever. All this is due to the dedication and hard work of thousands of people over the last 47 years. Feel free to reach out to us for any queries.
